Now let me tell you more about Khun Chang Kian Coffee Farm.

After taking a ride from Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep and a little walk in a small village, we meet Khun Chatree at a coffee processing terrace, where he use to process the coffee from picking up the cherries to the warm ceramic cup that served to our hands. He warmly welcome us and briefly tell us about the background of Khun Chang Kien coffee. Then he brew the coffee for us to try.

Khun Chatree used to open a bar in Nimmanhemin, but now he decided to open a small coffee bar at his home. He has both espresso bar and slow bar available. The cost of espresso bar menus is 60 THB.-, the cost of slowbar menus is 80THB.- , and the price for micro lot coffee menu is 120 THB.-, which is a cheap price for such delicate drink. The micro lot coffee beans won the title “2019 1st & 4th places Thailand Specialty Coffee Awards (SCATH) on honey and natural processes”.

If you loves to brew your own coffee, Khun Chatree also have roasted coffee beans for sale.

We talking and sipping our coffee for a while, then Khun Chatree walk us through the production of his coffee beans, from the plantation to the drying terrace. We are so excited about what we’ve seen. Every process is simple, doesn’t cost too much, but gives an extraordinary result. Then he walk us through the village, which we can see how the local life here goes with coffee.

As the time passed for half day, we decided to say goodbye to Khun Chatree. Then we find something to eat. There are many local restaurants which sell good quality food for a decent price.
